Bajaj Dominar 400 – Price , Freatures and Specifications

Now finally Bajaj Auto launched its latest sports bike bajaj  Dominar 400 priced up to Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) on friday as it  challenge segment leader Royal Enfield in the Rs 1-2 lakh category. The bajaj Dominar 400 is powered by a 373cc engine will be available with ABS and disc brake versions which are priced at Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 1.36 lakh, respectively.


Powering the bajaj Dominar 400 is the same 373.27 cc engine and  single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that does duty in the KTM Duke 390 and RC390 bike. Though, the bikemaker has de-tuned it significantly for higher achieving  fuel efficiency. Now, this mill is capable of producing power worth 35bhp at 8,000rpm against 30Nm of torque at 8,500rpm. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed gearbox. Bajaj claims that the Dominar 400 can do 0-100kmph in 8.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 148kmph. The bike carries a kerb weight of 182kgs, and offers a fuel tank capacity of 13-litres.

Power is transmitted through a six-speed transmission while the biggest talking point is the addition of a slipper clutch. The fuel tank capacity stands at 13 litres but, at 182kg, the Dominar comes across as a bulky ride.

Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks on the front and a monoshock unit at the rear, as disc brakes do the stopping on both ends of the power cruiser. The front LED light give a very classy look and High speed with classy body look.

The bajaj  Dominar 400 is also the first Bajaj bike to offer dual-channel ABS, and the bike rides on 110/70 R17 radial tyre at the front and 150/60 R17 radial at the back.
